My name is james ive been racing stock cars for a couple years now, i recently quit because with college i had no time. I got the idea to take my old racing stuff and throw it in a street rod for summer driving. My idea's have shifted to a pro tour look, my vision is it to look somewhat like my race cars did. I want as much custom fabrication as possible, i want it to really catch some eyes.

Welded in some support for the duraglass, would like to find a parts car and cut the panels off and redo it, but im afraid to weld it with how thin it is

Welcome to the board! Your car is a GREAT base to start for a Pro-Touring build for sure. Do you have any ideas as to what you are going to do concerning drivetrain, wheels/tires, brakes, suspension yet?

i started patching some of the floor pan, but stopped because i'm wanting to redo it all. i seen a car on here, i believe it was a malibu. but regardless it looked like an auto cross, track car. it had a roll cage and custom floor pan. can anyone direct me to this thread?

BMR Sales- i just dropped my 355 in for now, i was gonna put my 406 in but thats staying in the race car for another season. i put a 350 turbo in it, i went through and put a shift kit, new clutched and bands in. Wheels and tires im not sure yet, might throw some bmw wheels on it for the time being, until i get some cash saved up. suspension is being pieced together with old race car parts mostly, im gonna try to run some coil overs on the rear i believe
