Have lurked around here for years, finally posting my project (finally have some money to do stuff).

65 Falcon 2dr Sedan
Picked the car up with a inline 6 and 4 speed. Swapped to a 302 and T5.
Just ordered front and rear suspension kit from TCI, which I should get in about a week. :)

Nice ride, much more "together" than mine. The guys are TCI have been great to me, hands down the best aftermarket company I have ever worked with. They have hlped me with my "custom" set-up and have sent various parts on a moments notice on several occasions. How did you option out your TCI kit? Look forward to watching the build.

Front- 13" 6 Piston Black Wilwood
Coil-Overs
Power Steering Rack
Ididit Column and adapters

Rear- 12" 4 Piston Black Wilwood
9" Center section, with stock housing, 31 Spline Axles, TruTrac Diff
Swaybar, Coil-overs

I'm still trying to figure out how I am going to hook up the power steering. Been looking at the Maximum Motorsports and KRC kits, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with them?

@cheapthrillz- I'm running a 302 out of a 91 Mustang. The bottom end is stock right now. I have AFR 165's, Victor jr(which I will probably change), Holley DP 650, B303 Cam, 1.6 rockers. My plan is to build the bottom end and toss a hairdryer on it.

Ordered wheels to cover the brakes. I tossed around ideas for about a year on this one, but I think I found something to fit the car and the look I want.

Try Richard Oben at North Racecars, he is the intermediary for all the FFR Cobra guys. I found talking to Team III direct next to unbearable, good wheels, but not so great on the promptness of return communication. Richard was great, I fed him the information (and money) and he handled the rest, no mark-up either same prices as you would get direct so I figured why not.

I second LowFast on this ! I know Richard Oben personally (since I built 2 FFRs) and he has a lot of knowledge on everything Ford ! (actually Chevy too since he also builds FFR GTMs which use Chevy Corvette Parts), the point being that he will make it right, give him a call ! Awesome project by the way.

Need to finish up the swaybar and brakes. Then its time to tackle the front.

Anyone recommend a place to get stainless brakes lines and what master cylinder should I be running. A little lost when it comes to brakes, so I need some education.

Got the rear almost 99% completed. Just need to finish the brakleines. I ordered a new pedal assembly and hydraulic clutch setup. Can't wait to install that.

In that last pic, the rear view. It looks like the tire may rub on that inner lip. You may want to massage it back a little. I had a tire get cut from that lip on my 64 Fairlane. Just a thought.

Its funny...they sold Falcon coupes here in Australia from 64-66, but they didn't look like the US ones.

Me too! I should hopefully start work on the front this coming week.

Btw.. Your shipping department had me going crazy looking for the front sway bar and misc bolts. Crafty guys put it in the steering rack box. Lol.

Was able to get a mobile welder out to the house this weekend to weld in the front end. Turned out really nice.

The stance looks great, as does the wheel choice. How does it handle? I've been stressed too far with my stupid inner-rear fenders, which still rub my tires in turns with my Panhard tightly adjusted (full fuel tank, unfortunately). Let us know what you've had to do to make the rear tires work in a hard turn; the few of us who really push Falcons would like to know, if you've made inroads here (if not, it's cool). Soon, I'll be putting my angle grinder to work in the inner-rear fenders, as the rubbage (under hard turning only) has become a safety issue...

Do you mind sharing your wheel specifications, especially the front offset/backspace. Also, are your front and rear coilovers set at the lowest point in your pictures? I just received my parts from TCI on Tuesday and the build is underway on my 61.

Haven't been on the boards in sometime. If you still need the info - Fronts- 17x7 3.5" Backspacing. Rear- 17x8 5.25" Backspacing. The coil-overs weren't at the lowest point in that photo, but they are now.

Updates-

Rollcage and through the floor sub-frames added. Ron Pircey Enterprises, local to me, did the work and its turned out awesome.
Also, added some new Procar Rally seats so I can fit sidebars on the cage (not yet done)
Have some misc things to resolve over the winter time, but plan to take it out for my first open track event next year. Can't wait.

I am 6'3" 225, wide a the shoulders, do you think these are a good seat choice? Also how high are they off of the floor, I need all the headroom I can get in the Falcon.

I'm 5'11" and 178, with somewhat wide shoulders and have a decent amount of wiggle room. I think they would work really well for you. I used brackets from Procar and with me in the seat, with it upright, I have 4.5" of clearance above my head. The seat back is 18" below the inside roof line. Hope that helps.

My side bars go pretty much from B (shoulder height) to A, right at the front of the door opening. I've got 2x3 outriggers (plated on ends first) welded from the rockers to my subframe connectors at A and B pillar points; at each of these four points, I've landed the main roll bar hoop and the front down bars, rather than expecting the stock sheetmetal to benefit from the .120 plates.

Wilwood 1" fronts and 7/8" rears. Yup, have a Wilwood cylinder and a Modern driveline slave setup.

Yup, same brake setup. I am using Wilwood part number 340-11295. I cut out the firewall and put in a new piece of sheet metal with holes for the new masters. I did this mainly because I screwed up the first time and didnt measure twice.

It's only mounted to the firewall currently. The pedals are stiff, but feel good.

I like the pedal setup--this car is so much cleaner than mine... What the guy up there said warrants some attention, though, regarding bracing the firewall. At minimum, I'd weld on/in an extra section of 1/8 plate to where you bolted the pedal assembly (spread out, of course), even if the pedal pressures seem pretty light with the hydraulics (there's always the leverage from the pedals themselves, which transfers to the bolts in that sheetmetal). I did this (welded in a 6x6 steel plate) where I mounted my electric power steering unit (right under the M/C), and the thing still would definitely benefit from further stiffening, probably between the shock tower and the firewall (see Walt Hane's fix at EPS).

Very nice build! Love the falcons :D Doing a amazing job keep up the good work. Im doing a 64 Sprint currently. I got a wildwood pedal question. Did those master cylinders fit without any mods to the firewall? Or is your new steering column in a different location then the stock because on my 64 falcon I feel like the shape of the firewall is in the way of the MC mounting flat/flush. I ask because I have the same pedals and master cylinders but I got the reverse mount pedals for a cleaner look and thinking the MC's wouldn't work in the bay. lol
