View Full Version : My take on kick enclosures

I thought I would share my version of kick enclosures that I built for my car. These took a bit of planning and and fabricating to execute. They are sealed enclosures housing a 7" midbass. I have 2" mid/tweeters that you can see in one of the pics that will be placed where you see it sitting mocked up. The enclosures are just tack welded in right now, but they will be fully welded in place.

I'm still working on it. I'm scratching my head right now on how I want to build the lid and tray compartment along with remounting the rear interior light. I plan to wrap it in vinyl, so I have to account for it in the construction. It looks crooked compared to the dash. Its the floor causing the crookedness. It's just sitting on the floor and not bolted down. Once bolted down it squares the console to the dash. My Lokar shifter will be here today, so more updates will be coming soon

nice work, I might suggest putting some of that sprayable sound deadener in there before you're done
