And just drive off without even attempting to let you know? I know I sure don't. And lucky me, the insurance I had for "accidents" doesn't cover a hit and run.

The pictures don't show it, but the paint is scratched pretty badly all down the top of the fender.

So this thread is dedicated to the new direction my car has been pushed in. I can't seem to keep the outside good looking for more than a month, so I'll run the streetfighter look. With that, I'll rename my project, to Project Mayhem, because that guy in that commercial is stalking me, I think.

So, it's keeping the 400, which I'll throw a cam and heads on, it'll be getting a T56 as soon as I can locate one, and I've got Hotchkis 1.5 inch drop leafs with 1 inch blocks coming here this or next week. Hopefully sometime this year I can get the Forgelines I'm dying for on it, as well.

This summer I'll be giving her the flat white paint she deserves, maybe a flat paint job will stop stuff from hitting it.

That does suck. Had something similar happen to mine. I was at a very small pharmacy and heard my alarm go off. It was real windy so I thought that was it. Went out and saw the dent and knew it was the little old lady that was in line in front of me. Went back to the pharmacy and they would not help me with info or even calling her sometime- privacy issues, blah, blah, blah. Still chaps my backside and its been over 20 years.

Punisher- so true! I had more "fun" when my car was in primer.

I've been lucky with the Camaro (knock on wood), but yesterday I parked my Jeep in the only free spot at Home Depot next to a Lexus SUV that had dents on every corner, the rear bumper looked like had served it's purpose and was ready to be put out to pasture, on top of that both of the wheels I could see were curbed beyond recognition. I thought twice about it, but knew I'd be quick.

Well, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, and as I approach my car, the lady has her door swung open as far as possible, stuffing her kind into a car seat, and her door is wedged against the side of the Jeep, I thought I was going to have to lean hard on my car to get it unwedged. Luckily it has one of those chrome strips running down the whole side, so the paint didn't get dinged. She just finished what she was doing, smiled at me and walked around to the other side of the car. Then she gave me one of those "it's just a car" looks. Hate that.

Sorry about your Camaro.

My f***ing neighbors son backed into my truck and took off. The next day I confronted them and of course they deny everything. I filed a hit & run report with the police and my insurance company but they can't do anything for me because I don't have the H&R coverage. Everyday I have to walk outside and see the whole family giving me the "Yeah I hit your truck but you can't prove it" smile. All I will say is karma comes back in many forms. Pisses me off just typing this comment.

I had a co-worker clip my Yukon in the parking lot, outside of my window! Plastic bumper of his Jeep left a nice black scuff on my white rear valence. Luckily it rubbed out, but when I confronted him ON THE SPOT he still denied everything.

Bummer now I need to check what my insurance covers. Hit and runs happen quite a lot nowadays.

wow! thats a bummer...you need to purchase a 1978 ford LTD so when that happens..you can "kindly" repay the gesture and slap one of those 50lb doors off someones car..then give them the ooops, its just a car look

paintless dent repair guys may be able to fix that fender, but sucks they drove off.
I have carry permit, and do carry my gun when/where I can. My old POS Cavalier looks like crap, guy had his truck door up on my fender, rocking truck bac kand forth casue he didnt have a step on it and his truck was too high too climb into. I ask him why he isnt being careful about my car, he grabs tire iron BEFORE turning around and starts multi obsenity string at me and I just unzip and move my jacket from around my gun,,,, his buddy hops out of other side. Iask him just WHAT he though he was doing damaging my car AND grabbing a tire iron,,,just as he turns and raises his hand and tire iron cops blip the siren on his buddy with baseball bat, I havent even put my hand on my gun yet. both cops get out and confront his buddy he drops his tire iron and starts babbling about I threatened him,,,cops got in his face and said they SAW him grab tire iron,, thats why they turned around and then saw his budy getting out with aluminum bat. Cops ask him if I threatened him, he says yes, they say no, they heard,, turns out after looking their car was unmarked, and they were right behind me. THEN he starts in bad mouthing the cops,,, hehe they get radio on warrant for his buddies arrest, decide to search his truck.
They ask me if iwant anything out of it, Isaid no just make sure you dont let him off with ticket,,, cops then find his license is suspended from DUI. Cops ask if Iwant him charged for grabbing the tire iron, I said no, he got enough issue with driving while suspended.
Actually not much damage but gee whiz if it had been my Monza or Caprice after paint I may have been thumping heads,,,,,. Oh well remember karma IS a bitch.
