Hello everyone. I've found myself doing a lot of reading here on this great site that you all have put together. Thanks so much for all the great info. I figured it's about time to start participating in the site, so here are a few pictures of the old race car we picked up. My 15 year old son and I have started restoring it for him to drive. We have 11 months to go before he gets his license, and a lot of work left to do. We sent it to the blaster thinking it was a pretty solid car and it came back a mess. So, now we're in the middle of two new quarters and a tail panel.

Currently we have a stock 454 and a 9 inch rear with a posi and 4.30 gears. Our plan as of now is to use a 5 or 6 speed, 4 wheel disk, and possibly late model corvette wheels and tires to get him going.

I'm really looking for some good budget minded ideas to make this car a good driver for him, so by all means, throw them out if you have any.

One month to go until his 16th birthday. A few updated pictures. We've been at this for over a year now, it's turning out real nice.
