Well gang after about 6 close calls I finally pulled the trigger on a long term dream I've had for many years...... As of this afternoon I purchase a 1971 De Tomaso Pantera. the car will be heavily modified by Scott Mock and Ben Hermance is sketching up a new look for me on the nose/bumper & front spoiler of the car.... As stated earlier I have some very definite plans after all these years and the overall car is pretty much going to look like this:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/01/CarbonKustoms2012-1.jpg

The car will follow the factory group 4 styling however we will be building a complete chrome molly tube chassis and playing with some Carbon on the car as well....
Shaun from Evod will be doing these custom rims modeled after De Tomaso's 1970 F2 open wheel car for the project and Jason from Gateway Mustang is doing his best to secure a new pre-release on the 6.2 Coyote Ford motor.....
I'll start a thread in the projects section in the coming weeks as well

This is going to be a fun thread to follow.
If anyone questions your sanity, blame the water. It works for me.

Wow...well done, Albert...those are awesome cars. One of the guys in my local club has a Pantera with a pretty hot 302 set up with boss style heads and EFI.

My favorite car ever, the only true exotic with American power. I still say none of the current designers have anything on the guys of the 60s and 70s. Very cool Albert, how are you going drive that thing, theres no indian on it.

Thanks gang,,,,,,,,, I'm just waiting for the guy in California to actually complete the transfer of title (he bought it and didn't switch it over into his name so I told him he had to perfect title the tittle and then sigh it over to me) so the lawyer will hold the money on Monday until I see paper work that satisfies us......

I love Panteras....So beautiful! It's also one of my dream cars and all time favorites. Since you are going to be doing a bunch of mods to the car, what is it like right now? Pretty original, raced, or?

Great car---do make a thread on this build.

We will be posting some pics when I get back to Toronto next week.... The car is currently yellow and in stock form, however Scott Mock is awaiting it's arrival out in Baldwin city and that will change quickly LOL....

Congratulation Albert! Can't wait to see the project thread.

If the Coyote thing doesn't work out you could always settle for the GT motor with the stock supercharger or run a twin turbo...
