Original '69 camaro cowl hood?

I hope this isn't a stupid question but my searching didn't turn up much. I think that I have an original cowl induction hood on my 69 camaro but I am not 100% sure. Is there any way to tell if it is an original hood? and also if it turns out to be an original, how much is it worth? It is in primo condition. The reason I am asking these questions is because the design I am looking into would require cutting the hood and I don't want to butcher an original. If its super valuable I would rather get a repop to cut up or try my hand at fiberglass. Thanks for the help -John

There is a way to tell the difference, but unfortunatelly I don't remember.

Look at the corners of the hood closest to the windshield. The underside edges should be clipped. Let me see if I can grab a picture. From what Ive read all repo's have a full edge.

Then that means I do have an original hood and not a reproduction. With that being determined is the hood valuable enough that I should put it aside or sell it and buy an aftermarket hood to cut up?

I agree.... I would not cut a nice original cowl hood. Sell it and buy a repop to cut on, they fit pretty good.

I do want a cowl hood for my design. I'm not sure I want to part with my original hood yet but if I decide to sell it what is the going price?
