Not new but this is the first time I am blogging about a build. Project Bad Betty is a 1949 Ford F1 pick up truck that we are building into a nice pro-touring truck with aspirations to run a few of the Goodguy events. We are going all out with a Art Morrison full frame with Wilwood brakes and a Ford 5.0 Coyote engine mated to a Tremec T-56 transmission. We are just getting started so the truck is not much to look at but with all the new parts in, the future looks bright for this build.

awesome project! I have always loved the covers on those motors. Will be interesting to see how it does on the track (any events you are planning on attending yet?)

Will be interesting to see how it does on the track (any events you are planning on attending yet?) going to try and make the Hot Rod Power Tour with it this year and the Goodguys Southeastern Nationals in NC later this year. We will be tuning on it at as many local events as we can find.

hopefully we'll see you on the way up. We're shooting to take Sabre on the tour along with a few other cars / trucks.

hopefully we'll see you on the way up. We're shooting to take Sabre on the tour along with a few other cars / trucks. Maybe, we will be driving Bad Betty all the way up from Fort Lauderdale to the tour along with a restored Y82 '77 Bandit TransAm running blocker.

Sounds like it will be a fun drive! We haven't reserved hotels yet, which I am guessing are going to start filling up soon

NIce! I will be following this build. I just sold a '49 I was building last year. Quickie build, NOTHING like this one but it would have been nice if I hadn't been made an offer I couldn't refuse... :)

I wonder if the truck made it to the Power Tour? No updates since the initial post so I hope he was real busy building... :)

Wow, gonna be a weapon! Leaving the 5.0 stock or do you have something sinister in mind? What do you have planned for rim and rubber sizes? Looking forward to the build!
