from there I did an LT1 swap, with an auto. then one day the trans made a loud bang, and I got a bill from the fire department for a Hazmat clean up.

I have a nicely stocked tool box, a mig welder, and the most used tools for this project a saws-all, and 4"grinder. it's the cool stuff that would have maid it easier!

the undercoating used was a head-ache! I have no idea what it is, but I heated it with a propane torch, scraped it, wire wheel on the grinder, wax and grease remover, and it still seeped out of the metal when I welded it. The photos make it look worse than it is.

....I agree with you! However, you are posting on a forum on the internet which btw is public so you automatically have public opinion. No need to get defensive it just means / shows you lack confidence in yourself and or work, since in fact it is so easy to "croquette your work form a photo......." from the warmth and safety of a computer from who the f*ck knows where.

that was taken before the grind and re-weld / make it pretty. OH well, my wife says that since I left the Army my filter has not been working...hehehe.

I teach welding on a daily basis, so yeah, I can "critique" your work from a photo...

And I didn't point it out to be a d**k, I pointed it out because it's holding the rear suspension under your car and could cost you your life...

I didn't say you couldn't fabricate, or your car sucked, or it was a stupid idea...NONE of which is true.

I don't know? but I can get the 295's to stand up on the inner 2" with the outer tread off the ground.

I also put in Sphon K & A-arms with Del-sphere ends, 2" Race Craft drop spindles,& weight jacks round out the front end.
the breaks consist of C4 HD 13" rotors, with 99 SS Camaro calipers.
with some long tube headers for the 3rd gen.

the limited time that I have got to drive the Camaro, it was defiantly worth the effort and time!
I have been having some break issues, but I think I have them sorted out. the factory proportioning block was leaking, so I put on a vet master cylinder with one integrated in to the master.

Well sence the last post, I have cooled off some, mabe, but what ever.
The camaro was stolen, but I was able to recover it. They rolled it down the hill out of my driveway, they were unable to start it, in the processes they destroyed the wiring harness, steering coulm, dash, console, windshield.
They also got a pair of helmets, all my tunes about $2000. of equipment, and worst of all a check book! And Wrote $7000.00 worth of checks in 2 days, in about 14 different places most of them were to a person that they had Stolen there identity, so they got over $5000, in cash and a TV from Walmart.
About all I have done is removed the windshield & dash. We are in the process of moving so maybe in a month or two I will get it in side and go at it. The first thing is to mount the '04 GTO dash, & consul, then go on a major diet, cage, file tank relocation, plan posable front suspension mods.

It has been a long time for the Camaro!
As I said in the last post she had been stolen and that really took my ambition to get things done.
so now after two moves, a small garage agine! having the interior destroyed, and the felling of violation!
I think I have a solid build plan for it. I'm still having some issues with the violation part ( I know man-up, get over it! and move on!)
so in the last few weeks I have built a frame table (as I said in look backs on the IRS instal should of had one!) I have done it on a tight budget, so I can spend the $$ on the car. I started with a set of pallet racks, they are designed to hold about 8000lbs. so making a section 14' from to 8' rails with 2' of over lap I should have no issues. the cost so far is, $80. for the rack, $300 for wheels, then the part that I think is crazy! $250. for a 4'x8' 1/8" for the wheel platforms.
so the plan is to, pull all the floors, basically every thing from the bumper mount, and the pinch seams. Then a tube chassis, Keeping the IRS, adding upper A arms to the front end. going to push the motor back, 04GTO dash. this is the only variable to the build now is AWD, just depends on engine set back (foot room priority 1) I'm using C6 up-rights, so that will only be a hub change, and the springs/shocks are going to be push-rod/ cantilever. so I'm thinking that if it goes I wont have to replace a bunch of parts just add.
I have been fallowing a lot of threads here building ideas/plans for the Camaro.

Just an update for all of you. has been a long while so one is due, after looking at other threads that just have gone silent in decided that I need to let you all know what has happened.
so after I got the frame table built, the house that I renting from "friends" go very complicated, they had not payed the electric bill for over 4 months, in Hawaii the electric Co. has got a law passed that the past bills stay with the house, not the person that holds the Account, so that was a knock on the door and you owe $4000. if you don't pay then we will disconnect and you wont have electricity tell you pay. well you know that if they not paying that they are not pay the mortgage. With all that we decided that we would move off Island back to Texas.

at this point the car was dissembled, and most of the front suspension was cut off. no one on the island wanted to continue the project, I could not find anyone that had the desire or knowledge to continue. the cost of moving to TX was not an option, so off came the good parts, and the rest was cut up into fit in a 4'x5' box and to the scrap yard.
the plan was to start a new 3rd gen here in TX, but I got a '73 Chrysler Conqure S III boat and have been restoring it I also have completed a '70 Chevelle SS 454, and a '51GMC pick-up.
all in a 2 car garage, so when these are done I have not decided weather i will start a 3rd gen, or start on my high school truck a '48 Studebaker pick-up, time will tell.
