Quick question I will be putting a light coat of filler on my firewall which is new steal what grit should a prep the steal with? 80

Yes 80. Unless you have the black coating on it. Then take some lacquer thinner to it and see if the coating comes off. If it doesn't, then take a red scotch brite to it and scuff. If it does come off, it's crap and remove all of the coating before continuing.

Thanks Rob I should have said the is a new piece of steel I added to smooth the firewall
