Here it is 38 years ago today and Kathy and I are still having a good time. We are in Pigeon Forge today hanging out and will leave here Friday morning and head to Natural Bridge, Va. where we were this time 38 years ago. We plan on celebrating new years eve at the Natural Bridge Hotel the same as we also did 38 years ago. I guess what has worked for us is that we do most things together, she has supported me tirelessly with my car habit, I bet we have owned over 30 muscle cars over the years and no I do not have them anymore, all we have is the Nova I bought last year and my 90 454SS truck that I have been trying to finish up, which will probably never happen.
She has been the best wife anyone could have, we have 2 beautiful children and now have 2 grandchildren, I was beginning to think we would never see the day when we would be grandparents but here it is x 2, its great, I never thought having grandchildren could bring such joy and happiness to someone but they do, many times over. What I would not do for our grandchildren.
We are actually from Virginia but have been living in Louisiana for the past 32 years, wow, that's hard for me to even believe.
Just thought I would share as, Yes Virginia, there are still some happy marriages out there, very happy.
