I plan on installing a Lee 670 box and a KRC aluminum pump on a 68 GTO with a Pontiac 400. Is anyone running this set-up? Are the flow rates and requirements compatible? I know the KRC has several flow valves available, but are they enough for the 670 on a daily driver? Also, does anyone know if by chance the bolt holes on a SBC or BBC head are the same as on a pontiac head (the holes you bolt accessories to)? Not trying to be a smart A** just specific.
Thanks,

Lee also sells TC series pumps that are blueprinted, maybe buy both parts from one manufacturer and theycan match the parts. then if there is any issues youknw who to call

Pontiac bolt patterns are different than a Chevy. But KRC sells a blank pump plate here: http://www.krcpower.com/catalog_i6511586.html that you can use.
I would talk with them about pump sizing for your application, they are real helpful. The biggest aluminum pump is 9.2cc (not sure if this is still true with the newest version), but if you need more, the cast iron pump is 13.5cc, which is what I have. I am using a AGR 12:1 box with a 1.5:1 quickener, and both the aluminum and cast iron pumps could move plenty of fluid for my application.

Blake, good idea to get both from Lee. Randy thanks for the heads up and link on the blank plate. Going Aluminum route b/c cast iron pump is only good to 5k rpm.

That is incorrect. KRC sells different size pulleys to alot for different size crank pulleys and RPM specifics.
I'm running a krc cast pump. Based on my pulley size, i'm good up to 7200 rpm, but my motor will never see north of 6200.

KRC pumps are fantastic and their support is as good as it gets. I just put one of their new pro series pumps on my Nova, they are good to 9000 rpm. I was under the impression the older aluminum and cast pumps were both only good to 5500 rpm?? My march crank power steering pulley is 6.25" so that was a problem even using KRC's 6" pulley.

The aluminum pumps from KRC are good to 9200 rpms (new and old version) while the cast iron is limited to 5500 rpms, (pump rpm not engine). Ken at KRC said this is because of the larger volume of the cast iron pump, too high an rpm and it overheats the fluid. Now they do have plenty of pulley sizes to keep the pump rpm under the limit. Talk with them and they can set up a system to meet your needs.

Thanks... I had ordered one of their new pro series pumps a few weeks ago. Nice piece!

FYI
Update, As per Norm at KRC, Their inventory of (old style) aluminum pumps is completely exhausted. They only have the New aluminum pump. It also appears that all distributors are also out of the old pump, i.e. speedway, pitstop, jegs etc... The new pump has a pressure relief of
1600 psi. which is too high for a 670 box. The ideal pressure would be 1300 but 1450 will work if the box is ordered for those specs. I don't know if the new pump can be ordered with a lower relief pressure? I'm guessing you can call KRC and have them build it for you.
I ended up ordering a traditional pump and 670 box from LEE Mfg. through Mark at SC&C. Outstanding Customer Service, Advice and knowledge.
Thanks Mark.
