View Full Version : What I didn't get for Christmas!

While Christmas is always a joyous time and I do love the season, I did miss something this year and wanted to share with everyone.
For the last several years, I would always get a text from Todd Garshore on Christmas Eve or Christmas day like I get from many folks.
This year, of course, that text never came.
To me, this is just a reminder to all of us to remember those you love, and tell them often you are thinking of them, because you never know when you may not get the chance to do it again.
Todd was close to several of us, I wonder who else missed not getting his joyous message this morning?

I never knew Todd, but I miss my wife Pam who I lost to pancreatic cancer on '06, and I really miss my little sister Janell, who I lost in '92.
God Bless all 3 of them.
Cherish who you have right now, your family and your friends, as tomorrow is never guaranteed for any of us. I wish the whole world believed and lived this.
Merry Christmas to all my pro-touring.com brothers and sisters

I know how you feel, Bill. This Christmas will most likely be the last I get with both my Aunt and Mother with the reality of this hitting home. Kinda tough and agree with those earlier to cherish the time now you have with friends and family.

I miss Todd too , he was so cool to hang out with .
He was a Great Guy .
I miss all my Grandparents , they are all gone now ..
I never knew how cool they were 'till they were gone and I looked through old photographs and heard stories ..
They were just as cool as us ..They liked the same kind of things when they were younger ..
My Mom's dad loved racing , but I never knew that because he never told me ..

This was first year of not having Christmas at my Grandmothers on Christmas Eve, and 10th Christmas since my dad passed away. And I am out of work so kind of depressing if I think about it. But I know God has a plan, I have faith he will lead me where I need to go. And hopefully some of the stuff Ihave up for sale keeps moving till tax time or I get unemployment or a new job.

I missed getting to harass Dad at christmas. At least I got to see him awake and somewhat alert at thanksgiving and got to be at his side on his last night.
