After a long search for a career in the motorsports industry l finally found a good one. I used to build race cars, but builds are few and far between. this makes paying the bill really hard. I had flown to Performance Friction near Charlotte NC. After about a hour long interview they offered me a position of inside sales. they where looking for someone with motorsports background. The pay is excellent and i get to talk cars all day long. it's a dream come true for the GF and me. her company has an office 30 min away from my work and we can get the hell out of Chicago. i start in a little under 30 days, not allot of time considering i need to move out of state. over all i am very excited and very happy. everyone should be able to hit me up if you need pads.

Congratulations on the new gig and the warmer climes. Culinary diversity in Charlotte is not as great as Chicago but it's tough to beat a good Carolina BBQ. Charlotte is a rapidly growing city. A lot of energy there.
Let us know how much the snowblower sells for. You won't need it!

Welcome to Charlotte... I relocated here in 08 and really like it... I live north of Charlotte in Denver and commute to RCR in Welcome.. Its true about a lack of snow removal equipment.. a simple 4 inch layer of snow will cause the city to grind to a complete halt for 2 days...then the 2 inch layer of ice that covers everything is another story... you must also run to the store and purchase 5 gallons of milk and 5 loafs of bread.... that one i have yet to figure out but it happens...I would say to look for houses in SC If your buying... Mecklenburg county has high property tax rates and ****ty schools....

I worked in Harrisburg (Charlotte) for four years, you will love the weather. I was within walking distance of ZMax Dragway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. With the way the housing market is now days you can get housing really cheap, I owned a condo on Lake Norman (Google it) right on the water, the fella I bought it from in 2008 had paid $259K for it, I bought it for $232K and just now had to short sale it for $175K!. Mine was in Davidson just south of Mooresville. It was a 30 minute drive to work.

The wether here in Charlotte stinks, I mean it was like 65 today. One of the cool things about charlotte is its location. With just a few hours drive you have mountains, lakes, oceans, beaches, racetracks, and really a lot of various activities within a reasonable distance.
Congrats on the job.
Definetly do your research on where to live, traffic is a pain. I've lived all over the US from NY to Seattle, and man there are more freakin collisions here than anywhere.

Congrats on the job, and the whole needing snow removal equipment so far hasn't been necessary. There is very little places you can find snow on the ground here in North Dakota and it is December which is crazy.

Congratulations.
Just think if you have a snowblower in your garage down there you would only be able to drive up and down your driveway because you would have the only snow removal equipment, lol. Could be worth the entertaiment value alone!!!
