I like it because its ball bearing AND oil and water cooled, soooooo.
too big , too small, looks very similar to certain T3/T4 turbos, dont really want to get too big on this little engine.

Price and no warranty is scary. Size-wise they are bigger than you need, depending on power goal. The GT35 is the size APS uses on their 7 liter Z06 twin turbo kits. Works good on a 427, probably too much on a 302 unless you want 1000+ HP potential. But I still go back to the price and no warranty, just seem way too cheap.

It looks like a garrett gt3282r, but made in china. You could probably get pretty good power out of them. Chinese turbos are supposed to be balanced these days, but if you ever had a problem, then you'd just throw them away and start over. No way to get repair parts.

A real garrett gt3282 sells for about $1300 new. So figure $600 for two vs. $2600 for two.... Hmmmmm. How bad could they be, really? If they blow up, what's the chances of the pieces going into the engine? Maybe 1 in 3 chance? That's not so bad. For the $2000 difference you could rebuild your shortblock and then some!

I know a guy that has a cheapie turbo and had sent it off to be "checked and balanced" before he used it and has had zero troubles.......but still a total roll of the dice. I know MY luck!!! LOL.

They look a bit big for a "moderate" street car IMO.

Looks like they are using these(in the OP) in a single turbo application for 4 and 6 cyl vehicles.

Well dont want to under turbo but this tells me for 5000cc, twins, intercooled at 7000 use GT25 w/.86 ar for turbine bUT says engine should make near 900bhp
My big thing is I keep thinking of the guy with the grenade story over on theturboforums.com http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=61219.3650 was seeing issues with larger turbine housings like over the GN .63 ar when he went up to TE44s.
Still working out just where I need to be. Several people say that the Chinese turbos are more restrictive. just trying to learn but there never seems to be enough information in any article about which basic ideas need to be met.
Kind of thought couple of HX35s would work then had several people tell me even bigger ones would choke my engine.
Cant get a good guide line on turbos for crap and have been researching for years it seems had one guy tell mt I needed To4B or E T Trims one of those designations for twins.
I was hoping going 302 would kill some low end issues my car style has, the nuse turbos to bump up torque and make bigger engine make more power without having to spin it 10k rpm

Oh and as for reliability so far a lot of people have been using cheaper turbos, getting car built and running and tuned THEN going t o better turbos.

Then found these :

Wow, after looking at specifics both of those will be way higher an make more power than I actually would be able to use. And given Iam using a 302 sbc over bigger engine the GT45 might be laggy from what everyone I have talked to using it on smaller engines.
Reason I have been looking at smaller turbos is because I want to have power sown lower and with twins I am using figures for turbos from 2.5 liter engines.
It seems I may have found my ideal turbos , just doing a little more research and waiting on one guy to email me back, he has a a cool set up on a 327 so Iam looking at his setup for inspiration.
Not looking for more than 600-650 at the flywheel.
More fun posts coming up!

If all you are only going after is 600-650hp, twin GTBB35's (GT2871R T25) is plenty and good for up to 800hp. .64ar with super rapid response. Dream to drive with no lag what so ever. I used these turbos on my Ford 302 and now on the new LQ9 370. Changed the turbine to the larger .86ar for the cube increase.

I haven't decided yet if I was going to sell my Incon turbo manifolds. Rare item and they work awsome.

Yeah my findings off of Ray Hall turbocharging site and the turbo fitment plug in, told be that GT2871Rball bearing turbos with .64AR housings will be near perfect for my project,,,,even with journal bearing turbos it should be lethal.
I did find a OBX sourced set with 60-1 compressor upgrades,,,makes a guy think for like $500-$550 each,, lots cheaper than Garretts.

Yep..that is a way better price than Garrett no doubt.

Things to remember...

Bearings vs Journal
Built in wastegate vs cost of adding wastegates
Water Cooling vs No Water Cooling
T25 vs T4 Flanges = more Lag (although the 60-1's will be capable of higher power)
Larger diameter = harder to package

The nice thing about going to twins is being able to keep the turbine AR low for rapid quick throttle response on the street with nice horsepower numbers.

I did for one moment think about quad..Still think it would be bad a$$.

On3 has been getting some good reviews, and they come real cheap in journal form or still cheap with bearings:

Now most of these have extended warranty if installed by ASE tech,,, since I AM ASE Master Tech,,,,
Found these http://www.ebay.com/itm/400219134610?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
And this http://www.ebay.com/itm/140631158838?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

So even if I dont want to modify the header turbo flange I dont have too.
Part I like is water cooling, small pkgs and quick spooling. I want to be able to limit the boost on street driving, then be able to turn it up later. As my car isnt exactly gonna hook with out working on it.
And in my Monza packaging and spooling a big turbo with my 302 will be harder than two small ones.
got some idea on how to be able to run some piping up in fender possibly.
Time and funds will tell on just far this gets going.
BUT thinking of license plates is getting fun too.
