Hi all, I just recently found this forum and it has definitely caught my attention. I am currently working on my 65 Mustang that is far from stock because who likes stock?

Its not your average looking Mustang, its just in the project stage so ill post a thread on my build when i have time but just to stir the pot it doesn't have your average motor that you would find in this style car.

I hope you enjoy!

haha, im building this car to take the winding roads in the mountains. The roads in the mountains are a blast to drive along with one heck of a beautiful scenery!

This is almost exactly one of the visions I had for my girlfriend's '65, the only difference in my vision was a Volvo head on that 2.3 block. ;)

Hi Jeff,
I really like your project! I think we have something in common. The 2.3 turbo engine. I am building a 1973 Volvo 1800ES and I am looking at doing either the Ford 2.3 or a Volvo B230 turbo. I am leaning towards the Ford matched up with a 5speed out of a Thunderbird Turbo coupe. Are you using a 5speed also? I am in Raleigh and would like to stay in touch as I proceed on mine. I have attached pics of how I want to do mine, and how it is now. I think you can tell which one is which.....lol Steve(ncsurfer)

those little 4 cylinders are great power plants when turbo's are added, and great for mileage....not to mention the lower weight. Awesome choice, and would love to see this in person sometime!

Did you have to modify the Volvo head?

Thanks guys, I wish I had more time to work on the car but with me being an engineering student I have no time.
That looks like a pretty sweet little project ncsurfer, do you have a build thread? To answer your question about the volvo head there is some modification for it to work. A great source of information is on stinger-performance.com. There is more information than you could probably ever need on the forum there.
