Hey everybody, just wanted to post a g'day for all you fine guys and gals. Here's a little about me...

I'm 27.
I'm male.

That is all about me you need to know!

Here is a little about the car my father and I are currently modifying.

1967 Ford Mustang coupe. Has a rebuilt 289 engine. Got a new four barrel carburator/intake from Summit. Found some headers (I forget the brand name) that I'm going to throw on it and it has cherry bombed exhaust. The engine and tranny and all the inner workings are currently outside of the car waiting for more parts to be thrown at them.

Some other modifications that might be of interest.

Disclaimer - If you are not a fan of non-classic Mustangs, feel free to stop reading now. The following description needs to be read with the knowledge that this Mustang is very incomplete in current form. Many of the lines on the car do not yet match up as final adjustments need to be made.

--Mustang has had the trunk shortened by 5 inches. The trunk lid opens up in a wonky kind of way that is hard to explain...the whole lid, when fully openned, sits above the roof of the car. We are currently in the process of modifying the hood to open up exactly like the trunk does...in that it opens up and sits above the roof when fully openned.
--The roof has been chopped 5 inches in front and 3 inches in back. We had to knock out the seat towers to accomidate the lower roof.
--The front fender flares have been shaved off and it now has a much cleaner, smoother front end.
--The fuel filler cap has been removed from the back pannel and now sits just inside the trunk. I am likely going to reroute the filler cap to sit between the trunk and the rear windshield, placed to the far right of the car (I'm not sure where else to put it).
--It also has suicide doors. Unfortunately, due to poor planning we had to cut the doors back ends to be verticle. With the way we did the hinges, we could not have accomidated the stock angled door edges, so we had to cut them vertically and weld in some more steel on the body of the car to accomidate the new squared doors.
--Some other modifications are there for sure, but I cannot recall them at this time. My brain is starting to turn off rather quickly.

Wish list!
- I would like to try my hand at creating some subtle ground effects from fiberglass/carbon fiber. I will probably just end up buying some, along with the shelby front end, but the style I'd like for the ground effects are something that I've not seen before. So, I'll probably try to make them myself. If that fails I'll end up buying some.
- Four wheel disc brakes are definately on my wish list and will possibly be my next big purchase for the car.
- I would like an air ride suspension, but that is rather low on my priority list. I believe the Mustang had been in an accident in the very distant past. The upper control arm on the passanger side was about an inch further back than the upper arm on the driver's side. We had to do quite a bit of tweaking to get it to match well.
- I am currently making a sliding rail system for the rear quarter windows. The quarter windows will slide back into the large empty chasm that sits vacant directly behind the windows. If this mod ends up working as well as I think it will, I will be really excited!
- I was really stupid for a moment and forgot the rear windshield was tempered glass. I tried to cut it myself and ended up with a very badly bleeding finger on my left hand. So I'll avoid cutting the glass on my own from now on, I hope to get some smoked glass that will fit the mustang with it's chopped roof. Having a bit of trouble finding someone who will make/cut the glass though.
- I'd like to get a super charger...but no biggie.
- The car still needs all the interior work done. I'm going for a black/tan scheme to match the flat black exterior.
- I'm not sure if I am going to go with flat black or matte black for the exterior. Right now it is flat black. I bought a ton of spray can primer and flat black and went to town. This is why there are so many streaks in the paint:)
- There is alot more I'm sure.

Anyways, without further delay...here is Frankenstang's Monster...she's a love her or hate her sort of car. Alot of body work has been done sinse these pictures have been taken. Mostly around the doors and that empty gap behind them.

I didn't read anything about picture limits on the "read here first" message, sorry if I messed up here.

Welcome to the site dude! I was trying to picture the car when you were talking to me about it, I never would have guessed this!

Know what would look sweet in that trunk?
