I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of buckets for my firebird, and debating between the Procar Elite Lumbar and the Corbeau Sports seats. I need your thoughts/opinions on them (durability/quality/confort). I read on some offroad forums that the Corbeau sport seat will make some noise over time, not sure about the Procar seat though.
Here's the Procar seat I'm thinking

And here's the Corbeaus

Thanks,

I have the Procar Elite's in my Olds and they have been great. Pricing is reasonable as well. I don't think you would be disappointed.

thanks for the quick reply. did you have to purchase the sliders separately? How are the Elite's holding up? I remember reading about the installation of it in PHR. I like what you've done to the Olds.

I've got a set of Corbeau Sports in my car now, and have been fine with them, especially considering what they cost. I was not impressed with the strength of the vinyl, but the seats are now about 6 years old, so really what do I expect? I'll be replacing them with a set of BMW seats once the right deal comes around, and then these seats will be going into my buddy's Cougar. The drivers side seat has a few tears in it, but his car has no seats, so it's better than a milkcrate.
I've never really noticed them make any noise, except maybe some creaking if I lean way back to stretch (I'm 6'4", 220 lbs).
I have both Procar and Corbeau seats in my cars, the procars come with the sliders, the corbeaus don't come with sliders and I think the universal mounting bracket runs about 60 bucks a piece on top of the seat price, procar seat made in Malaysia, corbeau made in italy, I had procar in my camaro for the first year of daily driving, autocrossing and track days, they held up very well no problems with frames, materials, tilt mechanisms, the corbeau has been in the car for about 7 month of daily driving, autocrossing and track days, and also have held up well, I switched because the corbeau had a little better support for me
both have been good, hope that helps

Rod, what kind of Corbeau seat do you have installed? Any pictures of it installed in your car?
Thanks.

Thanks. Yes the brackets were separate. The seats are holding up very well.

Elites with lumbar! I sat in a set at SEMA and they were pretty comfortable.
