After spending way too many hours on this site and soaking in all the knowledge possible ,I have finally started on my car. I have been collecting parts for this build for about a year now and have pretty much everything i need except for the rear suspension.Trying to wait out the Hotchkis 3 link . I am shooting to get this car done in time to attend the Run To The Shore Event in South Jersey. After doing what seems like way too many spray out panels for different color combos i decided on something a little less flashy . The rendering was done by zvt design.Great guy to deal with.

Thanks for the positive comments. The wheels were the only item that i went overboard on. 18 and 19 with 335 out back. Im trying to keep the budget under control now and im really focusing on making the car track and street friendly so that i can enjoy it. Car shows are cool but im 43 and at a point where if i just sit in a chair all day im going to fall asleep.Ive had pro street cars before and while i still love them ,they drive like crap. The interior is going black with OMP race seats & no back seat just to keep the cost down. Im finishing the motor now and will post pics soon . New heads ,big cam and carburated with a demon road race set up carb.

Most of the work is being done at home but i do own a body shop . I like working on mine with no distractions.Working in the shop on your own project is tough when you have customers cars that you should be working on. Everyone that has a shop will tell you that finding time to work on your own project is almost impossible. Thats why i took mine home so that i can work on it without guilt about putting something else off. I saw a post last night with the Hotchis 3 link pricing. WOW. Performs well but i dont think i can justify that kind of money. Looks like i will be going with Jakes or ridetech for the rear suspension.

The price is what kept me from going with the 3-link also.
I just ordered Hotchkis leaf springs and will be ordering their rear sway bar soon.
And I already have their frame connectors.
That should be pretty good for what I am doing, street & some autocross.
Looks great so far.

Composite leaf springs with a watts link are still an option.Keith from Custom Works runs the composit leafs and does very well. Only problem is that i have 19x12 for the rear and DSE does not sell their front offset hangers without buying the complete kit. I made my own template for an offset front hanger and will be working on that over the next few weeks.If the work out then the options open up

I can totally relate with your problem working on it at the shop.
I have my own shop too and haven't had much time for my project either.

Lcartag1 – That’s a great looking rendering and project. When is the Run to the Shore event in New Jersey? It looks like you already have lots of parts and your roll bar looks good too. There are some great 2nd gens coming out right now!

The RTTS event is listed as April 6-8 at New Jersey motorsport park. Wanted to spectate last year but was in Seattle at the time of the event. Hope the weather is better this year. Seems like 2nd gens are the new 69 camaro.

Finally got some work done. front is all apart ready to work on firewall.Motor has new cam ,lifters pushrods,and heads and i got my gauges wired up

Man that green on green was killer.... I would take an off color over the norm anyday. Nice project I love these cars..
