I need help with my classic car

Im on a budget and I would like to get my 1972 Buick Skylark 4 Door to be transformed into a masterpiece.

I bought some aftermarket lights, but they have to be modified a little.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well the first thing to figure out is what is important to you, this is especially important when youre on a budget. For instance, if its looks and you want a new interior then you might have to settle for just freshening up the drivetrain or scouring junkyards for stronger bits of oe engineering. Also youll have to identify what you will do yourself, while parts are still pricey if you do it yourself imo its the only way to stay on a tight budget with shop rates what they are. I guess my advice would be to take some time to look around, read a couple pages of build threads to get some ideas and also get an idea of what youre in for, then when youve got a plan start asking what the best way is to get there.

wow, that car brings back memories for me! I drove a 4 door '72 Buick skylark while I was in college. It too was a blue car/ blue interior and had that same 2 barrel 350 engine. The only difference was it was a hard top. It was also rusty, too.

As for your car- I definitely second what was already posted (so I won't repeat it). Once you establish a budget and what you are looking for, I'd keep an eye on craigslist (or use one of those craigslist search sites like "crazedlist.org" that allow you to search more areas) For some reason, the Buick doesn't seem to be as popular as the other sister cars. This works to your advantage as you should be able to find cars/ parts cheap for this. Just keep looking and be consistent about it. That is how I find the deals on cars/ parts that I get.

Unfortunately, I havent been on the site in awhile, but due to some circunstances, I dont have the car anymore.
I appreciate all the help and I will definitely get another classic car to make a project.

I have a '70 Skylark 4 door, and a '70 GS that both could use parts from another ('70-'72) Skylark!
