This past week I finally got the front clip separated from the body on my 67. I will need to replace both outer rockers, quarter panels, parts of the floor in the passenger compartment and trunk, the tulip panel, the front 6" or so of the inner rockers, the window channels, and the outer sections of the cowl on both sides. Also, the inside of the roof and outsides of the internal structure have surface rust so I was considering removing the roof to access these areas and clean them up.

Yes I know it would probably just be easier in the end to just get a different car, but my questions are:

would it be feasible/advisable to remove the stock roof, clean everything up and re-attach the stock panel? would there be a better way to handle this? it is just surface rust, but I don't want to go through the whole rest of the car and have the roof rot out because I didn't take care of it now.

What would be the best strategy for replacing all these panels, replace a single panel at a time in a particular order or build a bunch of bracing inside the structure and tear the car apart and piece it back together?

Thank you everyone for lending your advice and experience to my build

I would start with the structural parts first then onto the cosmetics. So do the floor, trunk and inner rockers first then the cowl. I would not remove the roof panel I don't think you will have much left to put back on at least I wouldn't. I would however clean it up with a wire brush and them use POR 15 or something similar on it. As for quarters or outer rockers first I would do which ever is worse first.
