About to vent here for a minute,

I hate that show. It's got to be one of the worst things speed has put out in a long time. 247,500 ft-lbs of force eh? I didn't realize you measured the force of a collision as a torque... I get angry watching that show. /rant

at least the host didn't say... "that 1962 Cadillac impact had the same kinetic engery as this Matador rocket impacting a falling car during an 18 story fall"

why no dummy in the new car?
why no air bag deploy?
why was the accelerometer in what looked like the plastic case a $30 socket set comes in, and why was it just sitting in the back seat?

i'm sure the floorboards in the old Caddy were a little crusty, which is why the seats tore out.. other than that, the passenger compartment looked pretty intact- it looked like the rear door opened and closed easily when she went to get the "accelerometer"..

Well, that went much better than the old vs. new Malibu test(59vs09):

I wonder how much shoulder belts and a better seat mount would've helped in the 62vs.02 test.
