All,

This week's podcast show features my friend Jeff Allison - owner of Allison Customs. Jeff is the guy building my '64 Chevelle (which I seriously need to start a build thread about). Here's the link:

In the show he recapped his first ever trip to SEMA and what others could expect. Then we spent the rest of the time talking about my car. :)

Long story short, my '64 was bought new by my mom, lived a rough life in the midwest, and by the time I was a 5 year old kid was a major rust bucket. My dad and I restored it in high school as best we could with limited funds, parts, time, and a '65 Chevelle for parts. When we were done it looked good from 10 feet, but only had about 8 good body mounts. Here's a picture of the car when I fell in love with it.

Today Jeff is making the body right, has installed a new one piece trunk, mini-tubbed it and notched the frame (so I can run a 295 tire), boxed the frame and fabbed a tubular front cross member, and now the new floor and rockers are going in. Once the body is back on the frame we'll start the LS swap! I'm running a full DSE Speed Kit 3 on the front and rear and just got for 14" Wilwood rotors. Exciting!

There's the chassis.

Hope you enjoy the show. I definitely appreciate what Jeff is doing for me - and he's doing for free as a gift! (Long story there - but he felt that after listening to my podcast show for the past couple of years that it gave him the motivation he needed to open his own shop and chase his dream!)

On the rotisserie!

Here's the Jason Rushforth rendering of things to come.

I keep a full build update on my website (link below). Like I say, I really need to start a build thread here as well!!
