Project EVOLVED 1969 Camaro

Hey ya'll. I'm new to the site, so i thought i'd post a few pics of a 69 Camaro build we're doing at my shop in the Northwoods of WI, Fast Freddie's Rod Shop. We've got the DSE speed kit 3 front end and the DSE quadra-link rear with the deep tub kit. Boyd wheels and BFG rubber and wilwood dyna lites on all 4's. The motor is a rollerized 491" BBC using a Dart Big M block, Edelbrock RPM Xtreme heads and a Quick Fuel carb. The combo made 620 HP & 560 TQ on pump gas. A Tremec TKO 600 sits behind the motor. We're in the mockup stage right now with the car in flat black and we're in the process of figuring out what to paint the thing..... never an easy decision! I dont mean to sound cliche' but I love the slightly aged flat black with everything else looking new and bright. You should paint it satin army green!.... Chirp chirp... What, only me?! Lol... Killer ride!

Yeah the thing looks pretty raw the way it is....I wanted to keep it flat black for some shakedown runs just in case we ran into any tire rub issues, etc. It's a lot easier to fix black primer than show paint! We're in the process of building all the interior panels for the car and it's way less stressful when the car isn't all pretty and polished. We'll break the car down for final body/paint, then final assembly should go really quick since the car has been totally built already. Our goal is completion for a show in March '12 and then a show circuit to follow and hopefully some autocross events....if I can convince the owner to thrash on it!
