It is in my sons 95 Chevy Fullsize daily driver truck. 4L60E

It keeps blowing the trans Fuse?

As he keeps telling me when started cold and then driven ... no matter how far it does fine with no issues.

But if he has to shut it off for a short length of time, grabbing a burger or in a store, then restarts and takes off, he notes there is no first gear and then finds there is no 4th or overdrive.

His cousin and him finally figured out it was a blown fuse. Replaced it. it worked fine.... till the restart... so he carries fuses with him or if it just a short jaunt deals with no 1st.

Just started doing this about a week ago, any ideas

When you blow the trans fuse the trans will take off in 3rd gear.you need to drop the pan and ohm all the solenoids. I don't have all the specs in front of me but can get them for you tomorrow.most likely it will be a shift solenoid or the 3-2 control solenoid. Let me no if you need more info. Greg

Thanks Greg
A big help

Yes if you can get me the specs on them for correct ohm readings and if possible a digram of their locations.

Greatly appreciate it.

Looking at the diagrams, that fuse #20 in the interior fuse panel also powers the instrument cluster. Just something else to check.
