Frank, do you know when they will have a collapsable one for 67 Camaro? I want one but would like to have a collapsable one.

Thanks,
Tony

Because of the rear steering on the first gen cars, the need for a collapsable for 67-9 F Body is not quite as important as a front steer car like the A Body, G Body and 70 up F body. The front steer cars have the steering box way up front and are one of the first things to take the hit in a left front collision. On the rear steer car the steering box is behind the front 2 cylinders of the engine. So it has to be a pretty violent wreck to actually move the steering box and jam the steering column into you.

But that is not what you asked. All the columns have 2 piece shafts in them but are not considered collapsable but would most likely sheer in the event the car was hit so hard. However it might be the the motor that kills you first as it would have to move at least 12 inches before the box took the hit.

So with all that said, there is nothing on the drawing board for a collapasable column right now.

We do have collapasable steering shafts for front steer applications
