View Full Version : Fuel filter mounting issue

I have been trying different mounting ideas to get around the gbar and the tail pipes I'm installing. This is a vaporworx setup and need to have the pressure sensor adjacent which poses more clearance issues and seems to eliminate any frame rail mounting options. I tried to mount it far enough back so in case of bottoming out the rear end it won't hit....but hard to simulate. I'd like some input as to whether it looks ok or issues it may cause before I pull the trigger on hooking the rest of the plumbing up. Thx

Why use the filter? The fuel module has a built-in filter. No other filter is used on OE applications, and I have not run an external filter at all since using the modules.

Now thats what I wanted to hear. I thought one always needed a pre and post filter. I know all my daily drivers have inline filters....must not have built in one with the module. Makes my life much easier.

Unlike the earlier OE designs and all of the aftermarket pumps that I'm aware of, the current single-line OE modules have a single filter built into them that does all that is necessary. It does mean that a non-corrosive hose and flexible line be used in order to not contaminate the injector. Hence, I suggest using PTFE flexible lines when needed.
The filter in the module is non-serviceable, so if it plugs up the module will need replacement.
