There is another set that is a mirror image of this with the tach,boost,a/f,oil pressure, water temp.

I Would like some input on my LCD gauges what do you think? Opinions, criticism ,likes, dislikes, what would you change color layout anything. Trying to finalize these for my car.

I think it looks great...Only thing I would change would be the font. Something like the Caddy CTS font would look sporty.

Wow, that's like fitting 10 lbs in a 6 lb bag, very efficient! and it looks fantastic IMO.
The only thing I would consider would be removing the extra hash marks on the inner circle of the speedo/tach.

That is kind of what I thought that is why I wanted your guys opinion. I started to write down the gauges I need and eliminate the ones I don't and that is what I came up with.

I'm running miMod, and I cann't tell you how much I wish I ahd the time and facilities to do something similar; my old homemade Autometer setup in the fastback really needs to be updated, but there really isn't a good option out there for my car. Someday. For now, still Autometer, I guess.

My stuff? I haven't even begun the install... that'll be this weekend. I've got my center console bezel out in FL right now, getting modded for the touchscreen.

I'd love to do something very similar to what you have now, but I don't think it's going to happen. I'll post some pics once my stuff starts showing up. In fact I plan on making a thread of the progress on my rewiring.

Ross, I can send you the laser cut piece of aluminum to test if you want?

rossmacd
11-27-2011, 03:43 PM
Thanks, I'm definitely intrigued by trying to incorporate this. My layout would likely be smaller than yours, so I don't know if the aluminum would help. I'll keep it in mind, though. I think I would be able to fit everything onto a 10" monitor. I'd like to try and use it without cutting up my dash, so I"m running through ideas to modify a reproduction gauge bezel to fit the monitor and still look modern. We'll see.

Doing a couple of projects and would like to have a centre console touchscreen system that has GPS/audio/phone and air cond controls off it. What brand is your centre console touch screen?

I got this Tim. It's MiModHP (www.mimodhp.com). A few of us are doing it with touch screen dash and LCD gauges.

Why did I not see this setup a year ago. Ever since I saw the Lexus LFA I wanted a dash like that. Seems a lot of the modern super cars are using this kind of system. So so cool. Can you completely custom design the dials or are there basic templates you can choose from?
