If anyone saw my Air Force 69 build update, I discovered my new 260hp crate engine block is cracked. So I am going to swap all the parts into another block, and thought, heck, I might as well get a better cam then stock.

So I filled out the questionare for 2 companies.

Company A recommended this
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift 213
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift 219
Advertised Intake Duration 256
Advertised Exhaust Duration
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.454 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio0.468 in.
Lobe Separation (degrees)112

Company B recommended,
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift 212
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift 218
Advertised Intake Duration 256
Advertised Exhaust Duration268
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio 0.447 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio0.454 in.
Lobe Separation (degrees)110

I was glad to see how similer the 2 recommendations were. Only real difference I see is the LSA. And of course a hair more lift on one.

Which do you guys think would be better?

Stock 350, 8.5:1 Performer intake factory Q jet, rams hon manifolds dual 2.25" exhaust. Muncie 4 speed, 3.73 rear gear, 28" tire, 3400 vehicle weight. Driver, truck.

Cam b made 23hp and 20ft lbs more than cam a on desktop dyno. What a shock!

Hey JB. I'm starting the search for an autocross cam. I'm interested to see what goes on in this thread as I'm also a "cam spec junkie".

I've used the CS-1028R in a few different engines and it just seems to work for everything. http://www.northernautoparts.com/ProductDetail.cfm?ProductId=688. It's similar to your specs but it's single pattern which I like and is inexpensive.
