Hello all, I've been a member for a while but this is my first post. Please forgive me if this information is all posted somewhere else on the site. I am putting in a 2006 LS 2 that I pirated from my Cadillac CTS-V in my 69 Firebird. I have a Heidts from clip with the rack an pinnion steering. What is all the necessary things to wire this engine, I have an American Auto wire kit that I am rewiring the car with and I have purchased a Entropy Radiator setup for cooling. I am planning on using the stock drive by wire set up. I was planning on using Ricks custom gas tanks and along with SS stock bent fuel line from the tank up to the engine comparment. I know S&P sell alot of the wiring harnesses for the conversions. I would like to hear your thoughts on this. I'm going to see if the CTS-V stock oil pan will fit the Heidts chassis. Thanks for your help!

The CTS-V Oil pan is shaped like a SBC oil pan so it should fit your chassis.

I can help you with most everything regarding your install... We do custom harness work or rework on your original harness. I can have your computer work done as well. Just about anything you need. Or just advice if needed. PM me and I will get you my cell number if you want to talk about anything.

I don't have first hand experience with the Heidts front clip, but I would start looking at the Holley LSx swap pan kit. From what I see it appears it will likely work well for you. Heidts could probably give you a for sure yes or no, but that'd be my best guess. Their kit comes with the , pickup tube, windage tray and all to make the oiling a breeze!

Let us know if we can help :)
