Here is an update on my camaro. I have included one before and three after pics so you can see the changes that occurred this winter.

ZBugger-
Thanks! The changes I made this winter were the following:
-new BMW M3 Blue (Estoril blue) paint
-new BMW M3 Silver (Titansilber) racing stripes
-new cowl hood
-rewrapped the interior
-17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear AR TTII's w/ BFG tires
-new 770 cfm Holley Street Avenger carb
-new Hotchkis front sway bar
-various new chrome engine parts, rear view mirror, etc.
I have quite a few additional parts still to put on and more ideas for next winter.

pretty good work so far. I'd recommend dropping the front end another inch or so and having the grille painted correctly to match the blue paint.

Nine Ball-

Have you been looking at my "to do" list. That is exactly what I am planning. I installed new moog springs at the end of last season to bring the front close to stock height as it was previously dropped. I did this because I was getting some wheel rub due to wrong backspacing with my previous wheels. The new 17's fit perfectly but definitely need the front lowered again. Last weekend I spoke to the person who handled the paint about either painting the entire front insert or leaving the grill itself black and painting everything else to match the body. The other thing I was considering was taking the sideview mirrors from an early 70's camaro, painting them the same color as the body, and mounting them in place of the chrome mirrors. I think I have seen a few people on PT that have done that to get the bullet mirror look. I think Steve (has a blue 69 coupe, grey racing stripes, and an LS1 engine) on this site did it to his. Let me know what you think about that. Thanks for the pat on the shoulder.

nice car emo, looks real nice, you must really have fun with it, one question though, why do the stripes not go straight thru header panel, they are curved like at the cowl panel?? is this your preference??
anyway cool car, just never seen that done

My .02

After seeing some stock springs at local car shows I thought I wanted a 2" drop, so I bought a front end overhaul kit from NPD and I wish I had gone with the 1 1/2" drop. The 2" scrapes the wheel wells during turning. I have the same TT II's 17X8 on the front of mine.

Jake- Thanks for the compliments. I was debating whether to run the stripes straight through the header panel but decided to do it the way I did just to be different (as you pointed out, you've never seen it done this way). I chose the silver color because of the nice contrast (pic's don't do it justice) and I wanted to be able to see the contrast on the nose. I know that the stripe ran through the header panel from the factory on the Z-28's and the Pace Car but this car is so far away from factory standards at this point that I decided it didn't matter and I like the way this looks better.

Cham- Thanks for the info. I don't think I will drop it more than an inch at this point. I think over time I will pick up the extra 1/2 inch as the springs settle anyway. I don't think I am going to buy new springs, just cut the moogs I installed just before I got the new wheels. I'm hoping that half a coil will do it.
