i am building a 69 ls1 camaro with a art morrison subframe, i needed to save money so i bought off craig list a new set of hooker lsi 69 camaro headers they seem to fit great but under the car it seems the collectors dont exactly line up with the cross member cut outs both collectors set to the passenger side as if the motor is not centered but it is, they are close only off a little and could be worked out but i was wondering if this is common or maybe the headers i am using.

It's common. The options I've found are as follows: AME headers (1 3/4), Stainlessworks through Frank (1 3/4), Kooks LS swap headers (1 7/8) or a custom set. I went with Kooks...

I have an unused set of AM headers here I was about to put up for sale. We added 3" v-band clamps to them. Have some marks from being mocked-up but otherwise like new and never been run. They fit the LSx in that AM subframe. Can do you a killer deal on them if you can use them - hit me up on PM.

I used the Stainless Works headers, I had to message them where they go next to the exhaust channels in the rear crossmember of the subframe. Especially on the passenger side.

The exhaust cutouts in the AME cross member make it tricky, they need to be dead on to fit and even then sometimes they need a little "tweak" to hit dead center.
We do have Stainless headers now for these frames.
