I am going to run 1/2" steel hydraulic tubing for both fuel feed and return lines on Bad Ast. I have done some research but just can't seem to find good info on what fittings will work with this steel line.
I know I will probably end up with a tube nut and sleeve to adapt to the soft lines at either end but I would like some input from anyone who has done this with success.
Thanks
Mark

I welded bung onto hardline and then used adapters.

I used 1/2" compression to 8AN. Adapted that to Teflon flex hose. Perfect with no leaks. DO NOT USE the fittings made for Alum line. They will leak.

DAMN...EDIT...Just saw how old this thread was. Oh well it will help someone....

Hey thanks!
It's not that old... I had settled on compression style fittings to adapt to the -8 AN fittings. I still haven't bought them yet...

Here is an update to an old thread. I just wanted to get these fittings out there incase anyone else is wanting to run steel lines.
I will be using YOR-LOK compression fittings from McMaster Carr. They go from the 1/2" steel line to any size pipe thread you could need. I will be using the 3/8th female NPT and running 3/8th male to -8 to get from the pump and out to the engine.

These are designed to work with gasoline and have dual ferrules to provide a leak-free seal. No worries running these, they'll work great!
