Just read a post by Brett from BMR in which he mentioned some suspension components that he knew would NOT work together, due to the manufacturer's choices in how to solve some common geometry issues.
This has come up in other threads as well, so to possibly save members time and money, would it be a good idea to stick a thread about which components aren't compatible? This doesn't mean any particular component is BAD (or good, for that matter), and I'd hate to see it dive off into bashing certain manufacturers parts. I'm sure there is a TON of prior knowledge out there on this, both from the big shops and manufacturers, as well as individual owners who've "been there, tried that" and found it didn't work.
If the manufacturers and / or dealers wanted to weigh in as to WHY a certain part was changed or isn't compatible; that might be very helpful as well. Sure, any manufacturer is going to want a customer to use their complete package whenever possible, but we all make our own decisions. Some good, honest information up front might make the difference between a happy customer coming back for more, or an aggrevated customer flaming those parts for all to hear...
Just a thought.
