Mary Pozzi Wins Gran Turismo Award!!

Breaking news! After a close competition, our own Mary Pozzi was chosen by Sony to be the winner of the 2011 Gran Turismo Award! The judges specifically cited the fact that the car is not only beautiful, but features bolt-on parts and represents the pro-touring movement in a positive way. We're VERY PROUD to have Mary as Hotchkis H-Team member #001, and are thrilled for her and David, they've been working on this car day and night.

Now we can all drive it on The 'Ring! Check it out tomorrow in the Hotchkis booth at SEMA (along with our new 3-link) and Saturday competing at the OUSCI.

WOW guys. What a huge deal. This game is what cemented me in the car culture. Captured me as a youngin. It's got to be cool to know that your ride will do the same for many across the world.

When the Camaro was first nominated, I didn't think it's chances were good. The final five have the creator of Gran Turismo personally look at and even sit inside each car to get a fit and feel of it. Working through an interpreter, he asked me some very pointed questions and we talked at length. I showed him the engine compartment, undercarriage, and seating ... and when he got done, he said "This car I want to drive!!!"

The five of us got to go to the awards presentation at The Marquee (Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas) and it was VIP status to the max. We were sort of sequestered and all of us got to go on stage and accept our individual awards. They then called up the 2011 Winner and it still is pretty unbelievable. All of the finalists were impressive and definitely worthy of the award. The Marquee is pretty cool too. Kim Kardashian apparently thought highly enough of the place to have a birthday party there.

It'll take a little time before the Camaro makes it into the game but I think that both Mark Stielow's and my Camaro will be in the same game series.

In all seriousness, I'll get you in touch with some of the heads of the gaming forums. Great folks and they will be asking lots of questions about your car! And as a winner- you have no idea how cool it is to "drive" your car at the famous tracks of the world. It's still hard to get my head around it and we won back in '06.

Party was INSANE! Stone Temple Pilots played a super tight show and with it being such a small venue it was just nuts!
