Hi everyone,

My name's Dave and I own an '87 Monte Carlo SS.

I see that there's a whole bunch of familiar faces on here from Montecarloss.com and other forums that I'm on....Hi guys!

I signed up a little while ago and have spent 99% of my time here searching the suspension forum as I'm finally serious about making my car handle as well as my daily driver WRX. It's a little sad when your "fun car" is outhandled by the little blue wagon that you drive to work!:slap:

My car currently has the infamous B-body 12" brake upgrade, which, after reading on here HAS to go if I ever want the car to handle better. I'm not sure as to which direction to go with the front suspension, although I'll make a new thread getting into more detail later.

I'm also looking at swapping out the rear UMI control arms as well as they're currently using poly bushings in 3 out of the 4 corners (I have new rubber for the upper axle, so that shouldn't have to change).

Hopefully no one minds if I save some typing and post up a link to details of my car:

Anyways, I'm looking forward to participating in this forum and will hopefully one day be able to contribute more than I take away in terms of information. :)

Thank you! You have a great looking car yourself; I love white turbo Regals!

By the way, how well would the DSE upper and lower front control arms work with tall upper and lower ball joints?

They're on my lists of control arms for consideration this winter.

They were not designed to work with the taller ball joints. They were designed to work with the stock OEM spindle and OEM sized ball joints. Not saying they wouldn't work, just that they were not designed for them and it's not recommended. Our car is equipped with all DSE parts including the upper & lower front Tubular a-arms and the car handles very well placing mid field at Pro-touring events. No coil over shocks Just the DSE gas replacement shocks and DSE coil springs so much can be said with how the car performs. Next year we plan to be running Coil overs so we should pick up a bunch..

Thanks! They're Procar Elites.

The rear seat I had Jon at GSI-interiors design for me to match the front seats. He's now selling them on his website:

He also made my upper door panels as well.
