I hope I'm putting this in the right section, nonetheless, I've noticed that on a majority of 1st gen camaros (including my own), people have installed the 69 cowl induction hood. Nearly every single pro-touring camaro with an LS engine utilizing a stock style intake plenum routes the intake behind the headlights. Wouldn't it be better to have an intake similar if not exactly like the one Scott Mock has on his camaro (pictured below)? I've searched until my eyes have fallen out and have come across 3 or 4 set ups like this in all. From my understanding, at speeds about 25-35 mph and above, there is a high pressure area produced where the cowl induction opening is, would there be any significant performance increase by using Scott's setup as opposed to the routing the intake behind the headlights (even with a cutout under the headlight like I've seen on some members camaros)?

Works well on Pontiacs with shaker scoops too!

And it works on a 68 corvette L88 hood.

I would def be interested in the Camaro style air cleaner setup if it was produced. Love it. Such a great way to combine classic looks with modern technology

I have the Goodmark steel cowl hood on my Monte, would be interested in something like this too. The cowl hood has all the structure on the underside for the air cleaner to pull air from under the cowl.

I'd be interested also. Maybe one that has twin snorkel look?

Thanks for posting that, I saw that set up a while ago but could not find it. Well since no one sells this I'm going to conduct research on it and hopefully design an adjustable version to accommodate different hoods, adaptor plates, etc. Look for a write up in the next few weeks!

My only concern is using the blade style MAF sensor, there wouldn't the required straight length segment for proper air measurement.

I think that could be easy to overcome, if you use a 45 off the intake filter and a 45 of the elbow on the TB you could get atleast 10" of straight section
