I have a '93 Checy Suburban 1500 with a 5.7L and 4L60E tranny. It was working fine but had badly rusted fuel and brake lines. I replace fuel tank and all fuel and brake lines, both front calipers and Master brake cyl. and check valve. (The one right under the master cyl.) Now the engine stalls when I apply the brakes hard, ie; stop sign. Someone has suggested that the converter is not unloading when I apply the brakes. How can I check for this? The transmission was fine prior to doing the brake work. I checked to be sure I had not damaged wiring to transmission. It is fine.
I disconnected the vac hose to the booster and plugged the hose and tried it, still stalls the engine. Is it possible that air in the ABS system could cause this? Doesn't seem likely but who knows.
Any advice on how to check the TCC with out pulling the pan on the Trans would be appreciated.

I replaced the brake switch and it corrected the problem. $20 at NAPA
