Need some input. I'm painting my pro-touring conv. bird orange. I'm thinking of painting the roll cage and the bumpers a gray color, maybe a tad on the dark side. What do you think?

Personally I think it will look great. I am partial though. That is what I am doing to my 69 bird.

Would be a nice contrasting color, would also be cool to have the wheel color match.

I think I'll have the bumpers brushed instead. Still gray but not shiny

The brushed look is tougher, in my opinion. Modern cars have painted bumpers, its part of what sets a classic car apart!

Sorry to disagree with everyone but as an owner of a 67 'Bird vert since 1977 I LOVE the big chrome bumpers on the 67/68's. I've never liked them painted. But as others always say, and I agree. It is your car do what you like and not what others think. Except for Lambo doors. They belong on Lambos ONLY :)

I happen to have a good chrome one and two painted ones in fair condition, I painted one black and one stainless, of the 3 I like the stainless finish the best.
