Just finished up a headlight conversion for my car. Cheap and works GREAT! If you have a car that uses 4 standard 5.75" bulbs you can upgrade the high beams to aircraft landing lights. They fit in the stock housings with a minor modification to the terminals.
These are GE 4537 aircraft landing lights. Definitely not DOT approved, but you shouldnt be using your high beams with other drivers around anyway.

All of my bulbs have dedicated 12gauge power and ground wires through a relay system off of the alternator.

Pics (I tinted mine yellow, they come clear)

Heres how the terminals are... I had to bend and re solder them to fit inside the hole in the back of my headlight housing

Its hard to get a good picture of the light output. This was the best I could do with only my iphone handy:

These are the best high beams Ive ever driven with... Its like driving around in daylight :smoke:

Heres the best pricing I found online:

my friend had them on his car years ago. They worked really good. Good mod for the 4 light cars.

That's a different aproach for lighting. $11.04 per bulb isn't bad, but it says average life is 25 hrs. I guess considering you wouldn't normally drive for long periods with the high beams on, a 25 hr life span is decent.

Late response... sorry
Duplicolor metal-cast paint. Lay it on as thick/wet as you can without running it. Took me a few tries to get it to dry glossy like that.
