first attemt at mustang with flares and new tire& wheels

here is my attemt to get wider tires under my 66 mustang please let me know what you think. I didnt change the radius since i kept the lit and just just pulled it down and added 3 or so inches to it.

I am cutting them off bringing them up 2 inches as well as making them the same width all the way around. Putting wider taller tire on.

Just pulling the wheel opening down might not improve your tire clearance. mofing the whole flare up should help. so far the flare looks good, but you might be going about it the hard way. I used 1/4 in rod to duplicate teh shape of the wheel opening and tacked it onto the car. from there I was able to make templates out of poster board for the sheet metal pieces I needed to cut. Just food for thought. it's what worked for me so I thought I would share. you can check it out here:

It didn't improve much that's why I am now cutting them and raising them up. Thanks for the 1/4 rod idea will use that on the other side.

Much better. i like it. how much more clearance did you get?

Actually a few inches enough for me to fit a 275 on the front and for a 66 that quite a bit.
