I'm not to far away from needing glass for my 69 GTO. I will be replacing the entire cars galss to give it that new look.

I understand that there is multiple manufactures now making this glass. Is one company better than the other, or are they made form just one manufacture and sold through different distributers?

Does this glass come in pre tinted shades, something like you would see in a current minivan for the back windows, which is darker than a normal tint? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :dunno:

Thanks R.P.

I got my glass from Auto City Classics in Isanti Minnesota.

The phone # is 612-444 -5880 I would bet they have what you are looking for or they will direct you to someone who can. Real good people and great service.

If you can , get the smoked grey glass. It's really great looking and is DOT approved.

Jim,

I will start with them first. I love doing R&D on these cars. For comparison companies, I guess I will have to do a google search. I like the gray smoked glass idea with that gray stripe on my car going down the middle. I need tinted windows, yet I still want the red interior to show up through the glass.

I waited a couple of days to respond, thinking someone else would post also.

Thanks, R.P.
