I am getting ready to install my lsx, but in order to save time I would like to know how you guys installed your engine/headers? Did you put the driverside header in loose, then the engine, then bolt up? Or, put the header in after the engine is in? I am hoping to not have to remove the steering.

I just installed an LS2 and used Stainless Works headers. I was unable to install the driver side header with the motor installed. I had to lay it in loose, the attached to engine as inserted the engine.

I used stainless works with an LS2 as well. Mine would not fit with the engine bolted in either. I had to unbolt my steering box.

Thanks guys. I haven't decided on headers yet, because I bought a car with custom mounts. I am hoping to get some headers to try out before I pull the broken engine so I can see what will fit.
