Hi everyone. My name is Bryon I am new to the site. It is true, One more Mopar guy. But I can appreciate anything. I have a 68 B body that I am currently working one. I am installing a 440 6 pack in it. I hope to have pics up sometime. I just came back from Power Tour a couple weeks ago with some buddy's. Now all I have to do is sort through all the new ideas I have rumbling around in my head. Look forward to many chats and sharing info.
Glad to be here,
Bryon

Welcome Bryon! I'm a chevy man myself, but I really like anything old from the 60's and early 70's, especially mopar. Vanishing point will always be a favorite.

Yes, Mopars are nice - but I have to say I like ALL cars - they are all unique in their own way - welcome to the board.

Welcome :icon996:

Well 68 B-Body sort of narrows it down…What do ya got, and where are the pictures??

I love some cars from every brand, but I have a soft spot for Mopars :ssst:

My car is a 68 Plymouth Satelite. It is going to be have a lot of custom additions to it. Something with a hint of the old, but als o crossed with the new. I am looking at interior ideas for it now. It had a lowly 318 in it, but I have always had a thing for a 440 6 pack.

Satellite can be more fun than a RR and makes a way better sleeper:drool: :headbang:

I just notice you inquired about the Tremac in my car at my "New to the Site" post.

I had a hell of time getting it to fit, nothing is easy with mopar. I had to massage the floor board to gain enough clearance, which I hated to do. All in all, Keisler sells a good kit and 80 mph in o.d. at 2800 rpm is just way to cool. Easy on the parts.

Are you coming to St. Louis for the Monster Mopar Weekend in September? I attended the show last year for the first time. I highly recommend it. Huge turn out (2000 cars) of mopar tin.

I may have to look into both the Tremec and the car show. My father just got his car together. He has a 65 Belvedere 2 door post. He took it to it's first carshow last weekend, at the Goodguy's event here in Des Moines. He may want to take it down after we get some bugs worked out.

Welcome to the PT Forum. My oldest nephew is a Lt. Commander in the Coast Guard and just moved to Ankeny. He's a gearhead too and owns an 05 Mustang GT.

USAZR1, I lived in Ankeny most of my life. It is a great little town. I work at a motorsports parts store in Ankey. We cater to mostly dirt track racing though, but I do have some good connections from working here though.

Welcome aboard Bryon. :)

Bout time you finally get on here, if you dont have any digital pics of your car before you took it apart I think I can dig some up. I'm one of those buddys he went with on Power Tour.

Steve

Welcome.

I am looking at interior ideas for it now.
I went with modern buckets in my Road Runner. They were from a '99 Chrysler 300M. I then went to a custom interior shop and they matched the rest of the interior to the leather buckets.

It had a lowly 318 in it, but I have always had a thing for a 440 6 pack.
Well, since you've already got the small block, I'd go for a stroked 340 or 360. 416 or 408 high revving cubic inches should be plenty. You can even use a 6-pak on it.

Right now I am concentrating on getting the driveline in order. i would like to update the suspension somewhat, but with the exception of going with a total aftremarket front end, I am not aware of anything else really out the for the torsion bar setup. I have new leafs and housing for the rear, and have rebuilt the front end with poly components.

Welcome, Byron! While I am a Ford man when the rubber meets the road, I have a deep appreciation for Chryslers as well!

Good fortunes on your project!
