I was basically looking to finish my 68 camaro interior, by updating my steering wheel and I had figured these two was my best options. Both are around 350mm so size has nothing to do with it since they are in my range. My interior is very stockish too The Shutt VY3B https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/10/f_18297739806c9119d-1.jpg and the Momo Retro https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/10/momoretrosteeringwheelblack-1.jpg Please give me your opinions on which one!! Because I am torn. I plan on buying it october 23rd!! Also if you have a better idea for a steering wheel tell me, I am always open for ideas Picts of my interior https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/10/tn-1.jpg and https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/10/tn4-1.jpg Here is a picture of the interior and current steering wheel.

Momo. The Shutt is too modern for your car.

I agree on the momo retro too!!:-) I am also looking at those two wheels for my 69`- but will probably go for the shutt in mine because of my modern dashboard etc..
Have not actually seen the VY3B here in Norway yet at all:-)

I agree, the Momo would look good in your classic interior. I'm going a little more modern in my interior, so I'm leaning heavily toward the Shutt. Best place to get one?

Oh no problem, Is your interior original, or you going with a more modern look, or attempting to build a pro-touring race car? But in my own opinion I like the the tenzo turismo thats black and silver more. I think it looks really good at a great price

Really, do u have a modern interior? Because it could look good if it was modern, but i think the center piece is a little too big. I am used to the small center piece!!! But if your interior matches it I say go with it.

Momo. Although, I prefer the style of wheel in the post above mine.

Whatever you choose, don't choose a wheel that decreases visibility to your gauges.

Thanks Frank, this should almost be the steering wheel page!!! People can post pictures of all the steering wheels on here and after it will make finding what u truly want easier!!

Is the mono, stitching white, if so that will weigh in big for me

10-17-2011, 04:01 PM
I went with the Momo Retro because my interior leans toward stock, and I thought the white stitching would tie in with the houndstooth seats. You can see some pics near the end of this album: http://www.picasaweb.com/barryfrise/camarofrontseats .

No, the horn button that came with the wheel is on there, and yes, first post on this forum. I've spent most of my forum time over at camaros.net.

Can u pm me a price John for the momo with the hub and shipping

ROBS6T8
10-19-2011, 08:16 AM
MOMO doesn't have a hub for 68's! It appears you have a Grant already, so you should be able to buy an adapter for the Grant/MOMO. I've got one planning on the MOMO race. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOMO-RACE-Steering-Wheel-Leather-Free-MOMO-Tshirt-/230680079948?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item35b59aae4c

so basically I can use my current hub that is with the grant and just attach the mono to it!!! Please say yes if this a realistic money saving dream
