I'm converting to EFI and going to order a Spectra EFI tank. However, I have 3 choices. 3 vents for Evaporation Emission Control, 2 vents or 1 vent. My stock tank has two vents with the vent valve (although it's broken so I'd need a new one). I understand this valve was filled with cotton or something similar? Did anything attach after this valve or was this it? What attached to tanks with just one vent?

I'm trying to avoid any gas smell, is this valve adequate and should I just stick with the original set up? Don't really feel like installing a complete EEC system. Also want to be sure the system is properly vented.

Ed,

It's your decision about using a complete EEC, but if you decide you don't want to, I sell a fuel vent that works very well with a single tank vent. Search here on the forum for "fuel vent", and you'll turn up some recent threads on the matter.
