As promised, here is the GENII 70-78 Camaro gauge mounting solution we have been working on. The package mounts 2 3-3/8” gauges and 4 2-1/16” gauges in the stock location, retaining the stock turn signals switches and dash panel. The laser-cut and formed mount bolts to the factory mounting screws. The bracket is formed to follow the countour of the original dash.
The only thing left to do is find a donor vehicle to test fitment and decide what to do with the stock shift indicator area. We have considered using one of our indicator panels in there to fill the void. Looking for input there.
Thanks, look foreword to any input
Mark
Pricing for the basic mount should be around $100.00

I may be upgrading my gauge set up. Yours is a good alternative if I decide not to go stock as the replacement....

That looks great. I did something similar and wouldn't mind changing it out for a better fitting solution. When I did my homemade dash, I put in a high beam indicator and a brake indicator. Something like that would be nice in the center area. Maybe even a check engine light for people who converted to EFI.

I don't see why we couldn't use the stock shift indicator, but wecould also use one of our indicator panels, pretty slick setup. We can do shift indicators, warning lamps, turn signals, check engine, brake, etc, in any layout:

Rightnow the issue is finalizing the design and getting proper fitment. We need to either get a car in here or have someone do some test fitting for us.

May want to add the 5" Tach and Speedo to your lineup and 270° or more sweep for all of the gages. Lots of folks like the larger ones.(me included)

Hi John
We do have 5" speedo and tachs, they are too large for this particular application though as far as we can tell. The cases are wider that the stock support so I don't think they will fit. I won't know for sure until we can do a test fit

Agreed. Same here, I prefer full sweep gauges.
Looks good though for the guys looking to keep the stock bezels.

I'm having one HELL of a time deciding between the 1969 series and the Redline series for my 442.
I sent you a PM.

Wow this looks really nice. I'm gonna have to replace my gauges at some point and this could be a viable option. Up till I saw this, I've figured I'd have to go with the Classic Dash which is 900 bucks. It's definitely not the prettiest at night but my truck needs a transmission so all my extra money has been going to that.

Interested, I have a 5.3 / 4L60e swap going in my 76 camaro. I was wondering if I can get this without the center indicator lights?
Would I be able to reuse my stock center shifter indicator? I have a modified one That has the od indicator built in...going for an old school look. I want to put my high beam and check engine lights in another spot.
My main reason for doing this is to go with a electronic speedo, right now I have my stock mech speedo and it won't work with my 2004 4L60e and planned on using a cable x box to bridge the gap....this would eliminate the added parts.

Yes yo can get it without the indicator but the original shift indicator will not work. We can always bui8ld an indicator for you that would have the functions you want

Hey Mark,
I finally got the 1969 Gauges installed in my 71 Camaro using your mounting kit. It worked pretty slick. The only reason it took so long was because once I pulled the old gauges out of the dash I decided a complete re-wire was in order. One thing, I cut an old piece of a tinted motorcycle helmet shield and glued it to the back of the bezel. You can still see the signal/warning lights through it when they are on otherwise it looks like the blacked out gear indicator from a manual trans car. The 1969's look like they belong in the car, they wont look outdated in 10 years.
Any chance you have a setup for the 79-81 Camaro? I'd really rather have this than the Covan's panel.

The panel will fit physically but the indicator and turn signals will not line up. If we had a dash we could come up with something

I can send you a Camaro 79 dash or an 81 Z28 panel if you need for mock ups. Would have been good before I did my Covan's with 5" Autometers.

Got my custom fit 69 series guages for my 71 camaro today, I was wondering....do these come with connectors for the tach and speedo wiring? Or am I supposed to use spade terminals on each connector?
It seems like I seen special plugs on the website for the speed and tach that you just plug into the back of each one.... The box was open on the bottom when i got it today and I'm scared they might have fell out if I was supposed to get them

The stepper gauges use plugs on the minor gauges. the speedo and tach have spade terminals as shown in the manual I think the wiring is on pg 3. If you have questions call the tech line at 248-850-5482 during business hours or send an email to
[email protected] after hours. Someone does not normally monitor the forms so its easiest to contact directly.
