TPS Values - not what I expected

I hooked my laptop up to my F.A.S.T. ECU tonight (old one, not XFI) to see if it was communicating. I noticed that the TPS value is at 79% when the pedal isn't depressed and drops to ~40% when the pedal is dropped to the floor. Shouldn't the TPS % value increase not decrease? Anyone see a problem with only a 40% swing?

Not sure what your setup is, but I know in some fly-by-wire applications if the TPS signal is taken from the pedal sensor the values are reversed. As a matter of fact my Compushift controller has a setting to take this into account. Also, on said pedal sensor there are two sensor signals (wires), and one has a significantly narrower range than the other.

I would be curious to see what you TPS calibration looks like. If you can do a screen shot of the TPS cal it might be helpful.

Maybe check the voltage values instead and see what the computer is seeing.

At best power and ground are reversed. Or all three are pinned wrong. The FAST Classic cannot calibrate TPS. Typical readings are ~5-8% at idle and above 95% at WOT.

OK...took the sensor off and started checking the wires. I didn't know the pinout of the 06681 TPS so tried a few different configurations. Rob was correct...Found out that all 3 connections were wrong and the FAST manual is incorrect (possibly meant for a different sensor). I'm now getting 2% at idle and ~70% at WOT. Thinking I'm going to need to move the throttle cable connection closer to the throttle pivot to get closer to that 95% mark, but at least I'm getting the correct response now.
