I am wanting to have my power steering hoses built locally. Can anyone tell me what size fittings that go to the ls1 power steering pump and what fittings go to the stock first gen power steering box?

The 1st gen steering box uses fittings 5/8x18 & 11/16x18, while the 4th gen pump uses metric M16x1.5 (the other pump fitting is a hose barb).

Does the 11/16 go to the m16x1.5?

I think it's 5/8-18 to pressure, usually it will be the smaller diameter line on the high pressure side of a hyd system... I'll go check my car tonight if someone else doesn't chime in. -Dan

11/16 is the pressure according to this:

good catch, I just got in from the garage, granted mine has the DSE box, (both fittings look about the same size, but that could be the parts cleaner fumes!) The return line is the one closer to the firewall and outside of the car. Pressure is closer to the motor and front bumper. -Dan

Thank both for your help. I am going to get a set made this week. I know I will need a 90 degree elbow on the pressure side at the stock ls1 pump. Any other recommendations when having these built? I am going to use the local napa.
