I just purchased a 69 firebird and would like to add a/c (and heat) to it. I emailed Vintage Air about their Gen IV kit. They tell me it will fit a 69 camaro, but they do not know if it will fit a firebird. Has anyone installed this kit into a 69 firebird? Or, does anyone know why it wouldn't fit? They mentioned they have a surefit kit (cable/vacuum style) that will fit a non factor air firebird. I would prefer to not bother with cable/vacuum lines.

Thanks for your in site.

I would contact Frank @ Prodigy Customs. If he does not have an exact fit model, he'll get you damn close.

Best,
Don

I put the 69 Camaro kit in my Firebird. I had to use their three knob controller. You will also need the Firebird glovebox liner. You also need different length hoses etc.

Vintage Air offers a bracket to mount a Sanden compressor to the Pontiac engine.

That bracket is very nice, we did the VA system in the '69 Firebird Routy car on the 400, worked great.
